B.J. Reece Apple House is
a family owned and operated business. The business first began
in 1960. It was started by (B.J.) Boyd Jackson Reece, Jr.
B.J. Reece sold apples from underneath a
shed at his house located about a ½ mile west on 52
from the present building. He built the Apple House in its
current location in 1970. It was a thriving business with
many return customers.
After the Apple House was built, our business
began to expand on the merchandise that we sold. We went from
selling only apples, to selling several varieties of apples,
along with vegetables, and some canned goods.
Over the years, the business has expanded
merchandise and also additions have been made to the construction.
Our business is currently run by B.J. Reece’s son, John
and his wife Rachel. John and Rachel have 3 children.
B.J. Reece Apple House will continue to
be a family business with the customer relationships that
current customers already enjoy. We love the customer interaction
and hope you will stop by and visit us on your next trip to
the Ellijay Mountains. We hope to see you this fall!
